Vegetable Garden

Seasonal vegetables, fruits, herbs, and edible flowers thrive in this sunny, productive garden. The Vegetable Garden provides a thematic link to the fresh produce of the neighboring Farmers Market and serves as a great demonstration space for teaching about edible gardening. The garden’s harvest is donated to Davis Community Meals.
In the spring and summer, look for warm season crops, such as tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, basil, melons, cucumbers, squash, and sunflowers. In the fall and winter, cool season crops commonly include a wide variety of leafy greens, broccoli, onions, radishes, and beets.
